This is your opportunity to hear updates about the community as we celebrate 5 years being the MVRA, important info regarding The SWLP and time to have your say on matters affecting our village. There will be an update from the police regarding antisocial behaviour, an update statement of works from Miller Homes, and time for any questions to Crest Nicholson.

Whether you’re a long-standing resident or new to Meon Vale, everyone is welcome.

All held at The Pavilion Café, Meon Vale


👶 Every Tuesday | 10:30AM–12:00PM Parent & Baby Group

A welcoming, relaxed space for new parents and babies to meet, chat and support one another.

🎨 Every Tuesday | 1:30PM–3:30PM

Arts, Crafts & Chat

Bring your own craft project or join the week’s activity whilst enjoying a cuppa and friendly conversation. Open to everyone, especially those experiencing bereavement, loneliness, or physical or mental health challenges.


📚 Last Wednesday of each month | 1:00PM–3:00PM Book Club

Enjoy discussing a different book each month, chosen by the group, over coffee and cake.

Knit & Natter

Bring along your knitting, crochet or sewing project, or help with our community baby blanket project for Warwick Hospital Baby Unit.

Did you know long-eared bats have ears nearly as long as their bodies? When resting they tuck them under their wings. How cute is that!

📍 Local Planning Update

South Warwickshire Local Plan Consultation

⚠️ Closing date: Tuesday 8th September

The Submission Draft of the South Warwickshire Local Plan is currently available for public consultation, with the consultation closing on Tuesday 8th September.

Residents are encouraged to read the proposals and submit comments before the consultation closes.

Marston Sicca Parish Council has provided advice on submitting comments, so please make sure you seek their advice and get your comments submitted before the closing date.

The Plan includes proposals for around 27,800 new homes across Stratford District by 2050.

Key proposals affecting Meon Vale

🏡

 Housing

• MEO.1 – 111 homes west of Campden Road (east of the playing fields) with new access onto Station Road.

• MEO.2 – 12 homes off Station Road.

🏘️

 Long Marston Airfield

Plans include:

• Minimum 10,300 new homes

• At least 4,500 completed by 2050

• Four primary schools

• Secondary school and land reserved for another

• Community facilities

• Employment land

• Bus routes

• Walking and cycling links to Meon Vale

• New access onto Station Road

• 21 Gypsy & Traveller pitches

 Infrastructure

The Plan also safeguards:

• Stratford Bypass route

• Stratford–Honeybourne railway corridor

• Land for a future railway station

 Green Spaces

The Plan identifies Meon Vale’s open spaces as Local Green Spaces, although some existing open spaces are currently omitted from the maps.

Residents can view the Plan, explore the interactive maps and submit comments via the consultation portal.

The Pavilion Café is much more than just a café. It is a local charity supporting families, community groups and providing a community food share.
