Reminder to Dog Owners
We kindly ask all dog owners to please clean up after their pets when using the local playing field.
Dog fouling is not only unpleasant but poses a serious health risk—particularly to young children who use the space for play—and it also impacts local football clubs, whose volunteers are having to spend at least an hour before matches and training sessions clearing the pitches. This is time that should be spent enjoying the game, not dealing with avoidable mess. Please always carry bags and dispose of waste responsibly in bins provided.
If you notice ongoing issues, you can easily report them via FixMyStreet (www.fixmystreet.com) simply drop a pin on the map, add details (and a photo if possible), and the report will be sent directly to the correct local council . By working together and reporting problems, we can help keep our shared spaces clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.

News from Pavilion Coffee Shop
Most people on Meon Vale – and many in the surrounding villages – know The Pavilion Café.
But you might not know that we’re also a local charity supporting community groups and running a food share for families who need a little extra help.
Like many charities across the country, we’re currently facing a serious funding challenge. We rely almost entirely on café income and the kindness of local supporters to keep these community services going.
From November last year, we were required to register for VAT. Sadly, there are no exemptions for charities, and this has added a significant financial burden that now puts our long-term future at risk.
The good news? You can help in a really simple way.
If a few more residents popped in for a coffee or a slice of cake, it would make a huge difference.
We offer:
☕ Drinks, homemade cakes and hot food
🥡 Takeaway (including hot food)
🐕 A dog-friendly outdoor terrace
🪑 A warm, welcoming place to enjoy a quiet moment
And dont forget to visit our website: www.meonpavilion.co.uk and follow us on social media: @thepavilionatmeon
If you’re able to support us — even just once a week — you’ll be helping us survive and grow, so we can continue supporting people in and around Meon Vale.
Thank you, from our trustees, staff and volunteers.
Your support truly keeps us going 💙
