Here are a select few:
Update from Miller Homes
Meon Vale Residents Association has raised residents’ concerns with Stratford District Council’s Planning Enforcement Officer about the lack of progress with completing the development at Meon Vale since Miller Homes took over.
We are pleased to report that the Council’s officers have set up regular meetings with Miller Homes and raised our concerns with them.
Miller Homes is now working to complete the new play area next to the woods.
They are to undertake a survey of the tree and shrub planting on the wetland. Following which they will arrange for replanting as necessary. Appropriate safety measures will also have to be installed. Hopefully when this is complete, the screen fences will be removed. We will however need to agree how access to the wetland is managed to avoid disturbance to the wildlife.
We have raised concerns about the need for a proper access path from Poplar Drive to the Greenway and the need to replant the hedges and trees along the Greenway that were removed during development.
We have asked for a timescale for the adoption of the estate roads.
Planning applications
A revised planning application has been submitted for the remaining development sites on Poplar Drive and Larch Road. Planning application Ref No 24/03282/FUL
A pre-application consultation is underway for proposals for 57 homes on Bailey Avenue on the car park between the Leisure Centre and the school and on the vacant land next to the school. See www.meonvale-baileyavenue.co.uk. Closing date is 5 December 2025.
What do you think about our estate management companies - Preim and Firstport?
Stratford District Council is seeking residents’ views on how private management companies are looking after open spaces.
There are two at Meon Vale -
Preim looks after most of our open areas once they are completed and handed over by the developer. Many areas still remain the developers’ responsibility.
Firstport look after the open space in Persimmon's Cotswold Vale.
The open space at Meon Way Gardens is managed by Persimmon.
Meon Vale Residents Association meets with the representative of Preim monthly. We highlight any additional maintenance work that is needed and discuss the service charge budget to try to avoid increases in charges.
Please complete Stratford District Council’s survey to air your views.

Combating ASB in Meon Vale
Many of the community had raised concerns regarding the recent anti-social behaviour. I want to reassure you that your reports are taken seriously, and a number of actions are already in place to address the issues raised.
Below is an overview of the measures currently being taken:
Targeted patrols:
Officers have identified key individuals linked to recent anti-social behaviour. Warning letters will be issued in line with national anti-social behaviour guidelines, and local schools and families have been engaged.
Increased officer presence:
Patrols are being conducted both on foot and by vehicle, with additional officers deployed to Meon Vale as a priority. This will continue over the coming weeks.
Support from response teams:
A tasking has been created to ensure response officers carry out additional patrols across the district, with patrol levels adjusted based on risk, demand and harm.
CCTV monitoring:
We are working closely with Stratford District Council to review and monitor CCTV systems already in place.
Partnership work:
We remain in regular contact with the local Parish Council and will continue to share updates through them and through Warwickshire Connected.
Local police surgeries:
Plans are in place to set up regular police surgeries in the area, which will be publicised through Warwickshire Connected and local police social media pages.
